We visited County Line Orchard in Hobart, Indiana, and donated our apples to Nourishing Hope, a food pantry and social service organization.
Love Fridge
We manage a Love Fridge and loved adding some of our County LIne apples. Love Fridge aims to nourish our community through mutual aid and allows neighbors in need to have access to nutritious, donated food 24/7.
Now that picking season is over...
Even though we can't pick fresh produce right now, we can still give. A few ideas:

Chicago has welcomed approximately 18,000 asylum-seekers who live at local police stations and shelters throughout the city. To donate groceries or a home-cooked meal, fill out this form: Police Station Response Team form.

You can pick up a few extra items at the grocery store and use our geolocation tool to find a convenient food pantry or food bank. Nourishing Hope posts an updated list of their most-needed items.

We love the farm boxes from Forty Acres Fresh Market, and especially love being able to add a GOGO box donation to our order that provides fresh produce to a household in need. Purchasing from Forty Acres supports a black woman-owned business that is striving to increase fresh food access in underserved areas of Chicago.
